Western Tanager at Snake Warrior Island 10/27/13

Finding Enchanted Forest closed for Halloween Preparations I went to Snake Warrior Island Natural Area where the best bird of the day was a Western Tanager in the Strangler Figs southwest of the parking area. Other birds seen in that area included Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Baltimore Oriole, and Painted Buntings. Among the twelve species of warblers seen there today were Blackpoll, Chestnut-sided, Tennessee, and Yellow-rumped Warblers.
