Despite being over run by Common Grackles, (unprecedented since I've been feeding birds here,) I have had a couple of Black-throated Blue warbler's, a Palm Warbler and Northern Parula. I am going to buy more seed feeder's with cages to close out grackle size and larger birds. Even without feeder's present they hang around the water sources. They also just roost in the trees/shrubs mid day. I have seen a single male Painted Bunting. I usually have 4-6, however they sometimes come later, not all at once. It comes only in the morning and does not stay in my yard. I don't know if this is because of the aggressive/loud C. Grackle presence or the new neighbors cutting down the dense shrubs where they previously hid--or is combined with other factors. I am still waiting for RT Hummingbirds.
