I drove through the south side of Tradewinds Park this morning scouting for Burrowing Owls (didn't find any) and saw several people in the Butterfly World parking area looking up into an oak tree. So, naturally, I pulled over and found a good-sized flock (20+) of Red-crowned Amazons chowing down on acorns. Some of the folks out looking were BW staff and they confirmed that the birds did not come from BW. It was quite a site.
Also saw a young Short-tailed Hawk flying low and slow over the cypress area at the south end of the park. Very little else, which meant that the highlight of the day was running into Bryant Roberts, who can make a (mostly) birdless walk more interesting.
There was no sign of Georgiana's neighbors' cat.
