I saw 4 very distant Flamingos at the end of Snake Bight Trail on
Wednesday Jan. 3. Also seen from the West Lake boardwalk and walking
down Snake Bight and a fruiting fig tree along the park road were 13
species of Warbler.
Northern Parula
Yellow-throated
Black-and-White
Cape May
American Redstart
Pine
Prairie
Palm
Worm-eating
Wilson's, the Wilson's was seen at the very beginning of Snake Bight.
Common Yellowthroat
Northern Waterthrush
Ovenbird

Why wait for spring migration?

The American Golden Plover is still being seen at the wetlands area
south of Chekika. I saw it on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
