Definitely an interesting morning! It's nice to have John back birding in SF. (BTW, that was Laura, not Ellen, who was with us.) We saw almost nothing along the boardwalk,though Laura reported seeing a Veery over on the wet side before I got there and we saw what may have been a Western Kingbird at the top of a cypress behind the boardwalk along the open pine area (I'm looking forward to seeing Laura's photo) before John arrived. The Easter Kingbird, Peregrines, Merlin and RT Hawk were along the northern perimeter. Tanager, Wood Thrush, Pewee and warblers all inthe trees next to the rest rooms! I usually don't have luck with imbedded pics, but I'll try one of the Scarlet Tanager and Pewee.
