This post is the perfect example why NOT to use four-letter designations for bird names. The post is about a Black-throated Green Warbler, whose abbreviation is not BTNW! Is the time saved by writing the abbreviation really worth the time wasted by readers trying to figure out the bird's real name (or to write protest letters)?
