Here is the text of an email forwarded to me, requesting reports of banded white ibis:
"I am a current M.S. student at the University of Georgia working under Sonia Hernandez, DVM, PhD studying White Ibises in urban areas of South Florida. The goal is to understand flock movements and proportion of time spent in urban areas in order to make implications for the health of these urbanized birds. I have been banding and radio tagging ibises in urban parks in Palm Beach County and am now turning to local citizens and birders to report any banded ibis sightings to me. I have already posted to the Florida birding list serves and bird boards. I was hoping that this information would also get circulated out to the Florida wildlife professionals. Attached is the flyer for the project and for more information about our project please visit our our website: www.hernandezlab.uga.edu/ibis.html
Thank you very much for your time.
Sincerely, Catie Welch"
