Did not have time to go anywhere else, so I let my optimism get the better of me, and against my better judgment I stopped at the east side of Matheson. I had the completely misguided hope that, just maybe, I'd find a stray warbler that I haven't seen yet this year. Reality can be so cruel at times.
The list:
Red-eyed Vireo - 1
Blue-gray Timewaster - 1, heard
I could have gone to A.D. Barnes, where I would have seen the same stagnant, crusty, over-pished, stale birds that have been there for a week and a half. On second thought, nah! Escuse me for asking, but aren't we supposed to be seeing migrants during fall migration?
