Despite the weather, Matheson was real quiet on the east side this morning. I didn't get very far from the car, but I could tell the birds weren't there. I heard one Yellow-throated Warbler and saw 3 Red-eyed Vireos. No sight or sound of anything else.
Rangel said Enchanged Forest had a few birds this morning, but got real quiet by 9:00. Larry tried Lucky Hammock and only saw a few birds, nothing notable.
Looks like my weaher prediction was wrong. We didn't get a mini-fallout and migration sucks again. Late yesterday I was looking for parrots with Paul B. in Miami Springs and we could see warblers all over the place, but they must have left last night. I'm sorry if I got people excited for nothing. I'm worthless, I'm lower than dirt, I'm navel lint, I have broccoli in my socks.
