I did not know anything about this plant before yesterday. I have obtained all information about it online. If you type in Pigeonberry Plant you get more options. The scientific name is Rivina Humilis. Apparently it grows the best from seeds---doesn't do as well with seedling transplants. I guess a bird or animal transported the seed of this plant to my yard as I did not buy it. I could not locate a plant nursery in Miami that sells it via online search. Rouge Plant is another of it's common names.
