Today as I was walking towards the exit of my school, a sparrow flew up and into plain view a couple yards away. I expected it to be a Savannah, but when I got a closer look I saw it was a Grasshopper Sparrow, new for campus. A White-crowned Pigeon flew into a mango tree on campus today, also a new school bird.
The Grasshopper Sparrow was the first sparrow I have ever seen in Miami (aside from the Lark Sparrows in Kendall).
