Mute Swan

While riding my bike to work this morning I was crossing over the 79th street draw bridge and saw a Mute Swan in the middle of the bay. It was about 200 feet north of the bridge.
The bird is no doubt someone s pet, possibly blown around from the hurricane.
Back in Texas people would get real upset about reports of this bird showing up because they had fears about the swan displacing the native waterfowl, especially when breeding.
I walked back over a few minutes later to have a second look and it was gone.
