I have seen these birds several times around the Westchester area SW 87th ave & 24th st & today I found one making a nest above a Publix light fixture on 40th st (in front of Tropical Park): it is mostly choclatey brown colored w/ some white & grey/black markings on its wings/tail. It has a bright yellow beak & yellow markings under its eyes.
Does anyone have any idea as to what these birds are? This has been driving me crazy! I cant seem to find it in any FL bird guides, could they be a non-native?
