The cloudy afternoon and decrease in the winds motivated me enough to give the Matheson service road a try. Bird activity was decent, with the best being a Kentucky Warbler bathing in the westernmost puddle along the service road where the hammock opens up. I had 8 species of warbler plus a Red-eyed Vireo.
