Toe and I went to Lucky Hammock and the Annex this morning looking for
sparrows and whatever else may be around. Birding was great with lots of birds
to view. Wilma pruned the hammock pretty heavily. You can almost see through
from one side to the other.
Early we saw warblers and a few grosbeaks and as the day passed we began seeing
sparrows out in the open.
Here is some of what we saw today:
Peregrine Falcon
Northern Harrier
Red Shouldered Hawk
Kestrel
Sharp Shinned Hawk (Life Bird)
Sandhill Crane
Shrike
Brown Thrasher
Tree Swallows
Barn Swallows
Indigo Bunting
Painted Bunting
Cardinal
Blue Jays
Red-winged BB
Catbird
BG Gnatcatcher
White-eyed Vireo
Rose-breasted Grosbeak
Prairie Warbler
Common Yellow Throat
Magnolia Warbler
Parula
Palm Warbler
Wilson's Warbler (Life Bird)
Ovenbird
Northern Water Thrush
Eastern Wood Pewee
Phoebe
American Bittern
Great Egret
