Yesterday while sampling a portion of Water Conservation Area 3A we had a WILSON'S PHALAROPE fly right past us, only a few feet away! We were closest to the S333 water control structure off of Tamiami Rd. This bird was flying south and was likely looking for habitat, but as we know, there is very little shorebird habitat down here. Keep your eyes and ears open, you never know what is going to show up!
