The north side of the west end of Research Road is clear of Brazillian peppers and has some potentially good shorebird habitat, if it were't so dry. There were a few puddles out there and I saw Black-bellied plovers, Lesser yellowlegs, Least and Pectoral sandpipers, and Killdeer. Vegetation is very sparse making for easy viewing if only for small numbers of birds. A good tropical weather system would help the situation.
