Well, unfortunately today was mostly a clean up day, but here is what I was able to see in about two hours of birding in Tavernier and Key Largo: (just the highlights from a total of 66 species)

Anhinga (1 with vultures over Tavernier Science Center)
Bald Eagle (1 adult with vultures over TSC)
Northern Harrier (5 with vultures over TSC)
Sharp-shinned Hawk (2 with vultures over TSC)
Broad-winged Hawk (20 with vultures over TSC)
Short-tailed Hawk (5 with vultures over TSC, 4 light, 1 dark)
Swainson's Hawk (3 with vultures over TSC)
American Kestrel (10 with vultures over TSC)
Merlin (1 with vultures over TSC)
Peregrine Falcon (2 with vultures over TSC)
Yellow-billed Cuckoo (1 exhausted bird at TSC)
Chimney Swift (20 at the Memorial Tree Garden in Tavernier)Eastern Phoebe (1 at the MTG)
ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER (1 at the MTG; see below)

Black-and-white Warbler (just a couple)

Scarlet Tanager (1 at TSC, 1 in Key Largo)
Savannah Sparrow (1 at the MTG)
LINCOLN'S SPARROW (1 at the MTG)
Indigo Bunting (10 at the MTG)
Painted Bunting (3 at the MTG)
Baltimore Oriole (5 in Key Largo)

About the Memorial Tree Garden in Tavernier. It is on the bay side, just past the bridge over Tavernier Creek. Pull into the driveway for the boat yard and park on the left at the gate for the garden. It was loaded with birds today, but there might be nothing there tomorrow, that's just the way that place is. Hopefully the Ash-throated and the Lincoln's will hang for a while if anybody feels like chasing. Of course that will depend on whether they're are letting people back into the keys or not.
