On 8/15, about 530 to 6pm I birded the Nature Center in the drizzling rain. Few birds were about, but oddly most were migrants-- 6 sp. of warbler were seen (4 Redstarts, 2 Prairie, and singles of Yellow-throated, Parula, B&W, and Ovenbird).
I returned early this morning for about 30 mins., birding Homeless Hammock and the lakefront. Migrants seen were 3 Prairies, 1 Redstart, 1 Yellow-throated, 1 Parula, and 1 Red-eyed Vireo. An odd sight was a flock of 12 Laughing Gulls flying low overhead...
