Barnes was pretty active this morning, mostly along the oaks adjacent to the locked gates (once again with a big hole in the chain links) at the end of the boardwalk. The highlights of an hour's birding were:
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
American Redstart
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Northern Parula
Prairie Warbler
Blackpoll Warbler (1st winter bird working the ficus trees by the pond)
Ovenbird
BAY-BREASTED WARBLER (nonbreeding male, right above the gates I mentioned)
White-eyed Vireo
Yellow-throated Vireo
Rose-breasted Grosbeak (two, also above the gates)
Gray Catbird
Bird on and stay safe people!
Cheers,
RJ
