For the past several days I have seen Northern Mocking birds in groups of 5
to 10 feed in my daughters back yard in Coral Gables. Several of them partially open their wings showing the white patches while eating on the ground. They usually come by at least twice a day. The size of the group varies. I had never seen that many together at one time or exhibit that wingflash behavior. I thought they tended to be by themselves or with a mate.
