It wasn't very shy - I was at an outdoor patio table, and the bird was in a nearby tree just about 5-7 feet away, and was keeping an eye on the food on the table. In hindsight, it was acting pretty much like a blue jay would around here. It stuck around for a minute or so, then flew deeper into the trees where I lost it.
