Dodging rain showers and appointments, I made a mid-afternoon stop at Cape Florida. It was easy to accumulate 15 warbler species, including Tennessee, Magnolia, Cape May, Swainson's (2 together), Worm-eating, Northern Waterthrush and 2 Blackpolls. The persistent E winds favor seeing Blackpolls here on Key Biscayne in the fall. Additional warblers yesterday: Blackburnian, Yellow-throated and Hooded.

Also of interest: Merlin (2), Peregrine Falcon, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Great Crested Flycatcher, Painted Bunting and Baltimore Oriole.
