Today at about 6:30, I had a female Canada Warbler across the street in the neighbors yard (30 NW 94 street in Miami Shores). The house is not occupied at the moment. The bird was doing the typical wilsonia warbler type behavior, which includes twitching tail pumping. Canada Warblers have been reported this fall more than usual, as are Wilson's Warblers (I had both in Miami Shores the last two days), so keep an eye out for these two.
At Morningside Park this morning from 7:30-8:45 (school starts for me at 9:20 on Mondays, so don't think I was skipping school ;)), I had the following:
Merlin
Cooper's Hawk
Veery
Swainson's Thrush
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Palm Warbler- at least ten
Prairie Warbler
Yellow-throated Warbler
Northern Parula
Black-and-white Warbler
American Redstart
Prothonotary Warbler
Common Yellowthroat
Northern Waterthrush
Ovenbird
Summer Tanager
Spot-breasted Oriole
