For birding purposes, my 64 GB iPhone has the following items, sorted by size (in MB):

4,710 -- Cornell Guide to Bird Sounds: Master Set for NA (not an app: uses iTunes)

935 -- Audubon Birds

896 -- National Geographic Birds: Field Guide to NA

654 -- iBird Pro Guide to Birds

475 -- The Sibley eGuide to the Birds of NA

331 -- BirdsEye

35 -- RadarScope

3 -- Bird Codes

3 -- BirdsEye BirdLog -- NA

1 -- Sightings (latitude/longitude)

EXAMPLE using Thick-billed Vireo:
-- Cornell has 4 songs & 1 pic;
-- iBird Pro has 2 songs & 3 pics (plus link to Flickr);
-- Sibley & National Geo have 0 songs but still have some other info;
-- Audubon has 0 songs and has no other info.

Other options are available for the iPad.
