Nashville, Golden-winged, and Swainson s Warblers were among the more interesting birds seen at Baggs this morning. The Nashville Warbler was seen along the nature trail a little over 100 yards south of the crossover to the bike trail. The Golden-winged and Swainson s Warblers were seen on the north side of the bike trail across from where the hardwoods start in among the Sable Palms on the bay side of the trail.
At Barnes Chestnut-sided and Blackburnian Warblers were seen near the boardwalk and another Blackburnian was seen in the oaks between the park entrance and the lake. About eight Tennessee Warblers were in the Strangler Figs northeast of the lake.
At H. T. Birch State Park yesterday there was a Philadelphia Vireo along a trail south of the picnic shelter in the southeast corner of the central picnic area.
