There was a lot of activity at Lucky Hammock and the Annex early this
morning.
Red Starts - many
Prairies - many
BT Blues
Yellow Throated
Magnolia
Blackburnian (female)
B&W
Common Yellow-Throat
Ovenbird
Northern Water-Thrush
Worm-eating
Parula
Pine Warbler
Chestnut-sided (female)
There were other warblers that I couldn't ID because of bad light and the birds
were moving around so much. I believe I saw a Swainson's Warbler and a
Tennessee, but I had short looks at both. (I'm "Not" going to count these)
Least Flycatcher
Red-eyed Vireo
White-eyed Vireo
Merlin
Kestral
Red-shouldered
Short-tailed
Limpkin
Some Shore birds flew over making lots of noise.
Plus Cardinals, Mockingbirds, Shrike, Belted King Fisher, Red-winged Blackbirds,
Ibis, Little-Blue Heron, Gnatcatchers
I stopped a Mary Krome for only about 10 minutes. It was very birdy also. I
wished that I could have stayed a while, but I have to work some time.
At Mary Krome Park
Blue-winged
B&W
BT Blue
Northern Water Thrush
Ovenbird
Yellow Throat
Parula
Worm Eating
Prairie
Red-eyed Vireo
Brown Thrasher
Here are a few photos. It was difficult to photograph anything to day because
of either low light or bird that wouldn't stay still.
But what a great short morning birding. I started at 7:15 and finished at
Mary Krome at 10:00am.
