It's July 18th, get out and bird

I've had pretty good luck in the past on this date, including finding a very unexpected Tropical Kingbird and even more unexpected a Hudsonian Godwit still in breeding plumage as a hurrican sat offshore. I'll be out again this afternoon so hopefully the trend will continue. We are days away from a good shorebird, and with all this rain any flooded field or large puddle can hold a good bird. News at 11:00.
