I know Purple Swamphens can be reliably found at several locations in Broward and Palm Beach Counties, but I found a group of them yesterday at a Doral location that may be more convenient for visiting birders. These Swamphens (three seen) were at the west end of the small lake on the south side of Dolphin Mall. The closest view is on the mall perimiter road as you head east from the Bass Pro Shop - just look for the lake on your right.
