The early morning rains over northern Miami-Dade county caused a small fall out for southbound migrating birds, so birds were plentiful this morning. I woke up to a nice birthday meal, and noticed quite a few birds around the yard. A short walk around Miami Shores produced:
Ruby-throated Hummingbird
Least Flycatcher- a year bird
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler
American Redstart
Worm-eating Warbler- at least seven
Ovenbird
Northern Waterthrush
Common Yellowthroat
From 11:00 to 11:50, I birded Enchanted Forest Park in north Dade after a shower moved over the park.
Red-shouldered Hawk
Ruby-throated Hummingbird
Belted Kingfisher
White-eyed Vireo
Red-eyed Vireo
Tufted Titmouse- near tot lot
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Northern Parula
Chestnut-sided Warbler- two, south of pony stables
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Yellow-throated Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler
American Redstart
Worm-eating Warbler
Ovenbird
Northern Waterthrush
A first year Bald Eagle was seen flying over Biscayne Park on the way back.
