A terrific group of 20 birders assembled this morning at A.D. Barnes to search for fall migrants. We had a nice variety of birds including a group total of 14 warbler species; Blackpoll being an unexpected treat. There was no shortage of Ovenbirds or Black-throated Blue Warblers. Other highlights from our 49 species: Merlin, White-crowned Pigeon, empidonax with all features pointing to Acadian, Gray Kingbird, Veery, Tufted Titmouse (probably 2 birds), Summer and Scarlet Tanagers, 3 Spot-breasted Orioles and a few Bobolinks.

Many thanks to the great participants, especially those with long drives.
