Two days ago I went out late in the afternoon to look for Barn Owl for Bird-A-Day near Mt. Trashmore. I was in my wife's car and didn't have a scope, but looking into the landfill pond from 97 Ave. I could see several peeps. Today I stopped again and the water was higher and no peeps, but a Bald Eagle flushed a Short-billed Dowitcher. Be on the lookout, the shorebirds are coming.
