Hello birders! Thanks to some observant TAS birders who responded to our post last month, we have made several additions to the Biscayne National Park bird list, available at http://www.nps.gov/bisc/naturescience/birds.htm
Many, many thanks to birders who assisted in this updating effort by turning in or checking over their lifelists, including Robin Diaz, Michelle Davis, Roberto Torres, Bob Showler, Bill Boeringer, Judd Patterson, and Brian Rapoza. Thanks to Judd Patterson for comparing the park list against CBC data since 1980. And a special big thanks to Robin Diaz for the Herculean task of comparing the park list against eBird data a tedious task with productive results! We also compared the list to our park wildlife logs.
So far, we have 208 species observed in the park. That's pretty impressive! Please feel free to look this over and let us know if you see any errors or omissions.
