Hey all!
PLEASE HELP US SPREAD THE WORD:
There is a new Least Tern colony on the beach just south of Lago Mar @ 1700 Ocean Drive Lane, Ft. Lauderdale! The last count was ~52 nests and we desperately need volunteers to help bird steward at this site starting Thursday.
Attached is a handout on what stewarding involves. I will also be providing a quick orientation to steward volunteers THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT(July 3) at 6:30PM by conference call. Please call in to 1-888-670-3525 (Pass code: 540-059-2779#) to participate.
We need 2 people to cover each shift over the upcoming holiday weekend. Please contact Doug Young (dyoung@southfloridaaudubon.org or 954-232-1956) ASAP if you can help on any of these shifts:
