Sorry for the late post. Around 6:00 pm today, while downloading Trey's pictures from today's pelagic trip, I got an email from Robin Diaz about two Buff-breasted Sandpipers seen by Mickey Wheeler at Cutler Wetlands this afternoon. I rushed over there and quickly found them near the east road on the left side on the mudflats. They were with a whole lotta peeps. I continued south on the dirt road and had a scare with a new bird for this site: Red Knots. There were two in basic plumage that took me a while to realize what they were. In the middle of the area where the Red Knots were, I spotted a Wilson's Phalarope, then another, then two more! Four Wilson's Phalaropes, two Buff-breasted Sandpipers, two Red Knots, plus Stilt, Pectoral, Least..you know the drill. Amazing! Let's hope they are still there for tomorrow's NAMC.
