Tonight at 6:30 I had a male Golden-winged Warbler in Cape Florida. It was ~200 yds from the SOUTH end of Pond Trail (dirt path). As the trail bends to the north, there is a fig tree with new plumage and a bit of fruit. The bird was feeding with 2 Black-throated Blue Warblers. Overall, the park is not birdy right now, but this bird made 8 warbler species seen from 6-7 PM.
Earlier today an Acadian Flycatcher was seen by Liz Golden and Orion Weldon. Least Flycatcher and "Traill's" Flycatcher were seen earlier in the week.
Today at low tide an American Golden-Plover was with 4 Black-bellied Plovers on Crandon Beach.
