White Pelicans

Linda McCandless and I birded the Harold A Campbell Public Use area in Palm Beach County on Saturday June 15 and I was surprised to see 2 dozen white pelicans.

I thought they were in Florida in the winter. How common are they in the summer months? We also estimated there were about 2000 purple Martins on the power lines on the road into the area.
