A large (what pod, kettle, cluster?) of nighthawks flew over Coral Springs last evening. Numbering about 25-35 and crisscross flight pattern that moved in circular pattern but the whole group drifted southward. I have never seen such a gathering of nighthawks. Altitude about 75 to 150 feet. Flight pattern was active, no gliding, no "booming".
