I stopped by Castellow Hammock today (SW 162nd Avenue, between SW 216th and 232nd Streets) for some brief between-errand butterflying and found a female Rufous/Allen's Hummingbird holding court at the butterfly garden. I've only been down here a few months and thought this was fairly exciting, but a quick Google search told me this is not an unheard-of phenomenon at this park. There were a couple of Ruby-throats as well, but the belligerent and vocal Rufous escorted them from the area whenever they dared try to feed.
There was also a Dickcissel, plus a few typical warblers including an Ovenbird, a Parula, some Prairies, a Common Yellowthroat, and a Yellow-throated Warbler. Note that the trails are closed, so my sightings were limited to the parking lot and butterfly garden.
