Have you considered Scaly-naped Pigeon as a possibility? Fits your description, and also has a very old record from Key West. Powerful flier with the potential for a repeat occurrence, especially among flocks of migrating White-crowned Pigeons that boost the resident population in the summer in Everglades National Park.
Just a possibility... after all, a Bahama Woodstar was documented in Pennsylvania. Why not?
