One year I had a female/imm. male Painted Bunting on July 6th. It just so happened that Bill Pranty came here with a group of birders to see the Nutmeg Manikins and also saw the bunting, plus a Spot-breasted Oriole which was a lifer for one of the party members. My yard didn't suck that day.
