San Diego County, CA June Challenge

Please indulge me for a couple of posts from southern California to mention that I am again participating in this year's June Challenge in San Diego County.

After the first week, I am at 150 species (plus 3 heard-onlys). Best finds for here are two eastern vagrants: Rose-Breasted Grosbeak and Tennessee Warbler. Other good June birds for here include Black Brant, Cackling Goose, Blue-winged Teal, Lesser Scaup, Surf Scoter, American Bittern, Yellow-crowned Night-Heron, Vermilion Flycatcher, Brown-crested Flycatcher, Purple Martin, Summer Tanager and Lawrence's Goldfinch.
