The farm fields are drying fast, there is still a lot of water but not for long. I birded for a couple of hours around the farm fields a mile or so from the entrance to Everglades National Park as well as the Lucky Hammock area. I saw the following:

Black-bellied Plover 40
Semipalmated Plover 2
Killdeer many
Black-necked Stilt 2
Greater Yellowlegs 12
Lesser Yellowlegs 5
Spotted Sandpiper 1
Semipalmated Sandpiper 35
Least Sandpiper 6
Upland Sandpiper 2 north side of 9336
Long-billed Dowitcher 12

It is a good time to try and find some Buff -breasted Sandpipers. I have not seen any yet but with lots of looking some could be found.
