Observed today in Naples

Was driving in a industrial area today and saw lots of birds on the ground. Couldn't stop at the time but went back and there were alot of grackles and doves but also alot of scruffy looking red winged black birds. There was no one around and wasn't sure what they were all pecking at on the gravel driveway. Alost lots of small flocks of smaller birds I can't get a close look at. Must be storm related?
