This morning I drove to Jupiter to visit Riverbend Park, west of Indiantown Rd. It's one of my favorite parks in Florida. Nice, shady, and you can cover a lot of ground on a rented bike. I biked for about 2 hours. There were some birds but nothing amazing.
4 Great Crested Flycatchers
2 Swallow-tailed Kites
2 Northern Parulas
1 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Some Fish Crows
Some Red-shouldered hawks ( Saw an immature begging his parent for some food as if it was about to have a temper-tantrum right on the branch.
4 Peacocks (2 pairs) - one of the male was acting really strange as he was preening- pecking his chest in circles for 10 minutes or so. He seemed bothered by it and at times would stage a mini flight for a second or two.
1 Wild Turkey
1 Osprey near its nest right by the river area

From there...I drove NW to J.W. Corbett Wildlife Management Area and drove around the area - about 20 miles all around.
I drove slowly and heard a call of a Red-headed Woodpecker in the distance in a flat pine area. In the same area I heard one Bachman's Sparrow. Got out of my car and went towards it. The bird flew to a pine tree and I was lucky to get a shot. I don't usually have luck with sparrows but today was my day. On the way out, I heard a White-eyed Vireo singing away.

On a side note: Friday, I went for a short walk at Spanish River and saw 2 Brown Thrashers and 1 Waterthrush (Late May I would not expect to see one).
