The power lines angle northeast from a point just west of US 27.
The Gazeteer indeed appears to put the line a little south of what appears on Google Earth. The legal definition (if I'm reading it right) of the north line of Broward County in this section is the south line of Township 51S (http://www.flsenate.gov/Laws/Statutes/2011/7.06) The line on Google Earth appears to agree with the Township Lines found on the LABINS website.(http://data.labins.org/imf3/LABINS2B/labins.jsp) This puts the line north of the power lines as they proceed west of US 27. The line on Google Earth is just on the north side of the power lines, thus some of the land between the road the the canal north of there appears to be in Palm Beach. Everything from the power lines south appears to be in Broward.
I don't know how well these links will work. Cut and paste them and see.
