On Saturday I visited Cutler Wetlands for about a half-hour. Highlights were 2 white pelicans, American coots, lots of black-necked stilts, and a group of American avocets. The avocets were in beautiful breeding plumage. Question- do the pelicans and avocets remain here year-round, even though they don't breed? Also, do the coots breed here? Thanks!
