Katrina birds

After feeling the wrath of Katrina last night, I woke up early in the morning to clean up the debris and branches in the neighborhood. I couldn't help stop to bird, of course. Hundreds of Barn Swallows buzzed over the house, with two Bank Swallows, a Common Nighthawk, and Chimney Swifts mixed in. Yellow-throated and Prairie Warblers, American Redstarts, and Northern Parulas were in the yard. I looked and looked for a Sooty Tern among the Laughing Gulls seeking shelter inland, but cam up empty. Good luck everyone getting power back and cleaning up.
