I guess the Swamp Hens heard they were going to close the Library Wetlands so they moved down to Chapel Hill about a mile down the road on the left. I was there about two months ago and the gates were still open but not one bird of any species was to be found.
Down at Chapel Hill Wetlands, I found seven Swamp Hens and many other birds as well. There were two Swamp Hens near the boat ramp on May 4.
