I visited this area again today. There are overall less birds than at the peak last week-end. There are still quite a few migrants with Connecticut Warblers still being seen. I am reasonably sure I saw one in the picnic area across the road from "No Name Harbor". This area was very birdy. Upon arriving I saw aarea with a small cluster of trees filled with many warblers etc.. I watched them drop from the trees to the ground feeding in the short grass below. At one time about 15 male Common Yellowthroats were feeding on the ground below this group of three trees.. Northern Waterthrushes were numerous scattered through out the area. While watching one of the Common Yellowthroats feed on the ground, I noted a bird about four feet away I believe to be the Connecticut. The shape, size, color, and foraging technique matched the ones I saw yesterday at Arch Creek Park. I could not identify an eye ring due to the position of the bird. A flock of about 50 Bobolinks were seen close to this same area. Other smaller flocks could be seen in the distance. Birds could be seen flying/scattered on the ground in this very large picnic area.
